A little bit about me
I live in Boat of Garten, in the Cairngorms National Park, with my husband, John, and our awesome wee man, Dougal. I graduated from Heriot Watt University with a BA in Business, Marketing and French, before taking off on a year’s solo circumnavigation of the world. I came back to home comforts and a great job opportunity, and have since spent the last 17 years working in clinical research.
I can’t believe I can say I’ve got over 25 years’ experience across the various sectors, but I do. From school through university and into my professional life, I’ve worked in hospitality, retail, the civil service, charities and clinical research industries, and most recently set up WorkSpace Highland - a coworking space in Aviemore.
In my spare time (who has that?) I’ve been a trustee of three community not-for-profits, and I’m currently treasurer of our local primary school’s Parent Council. It’s safe to say, I’ve dipped my toes in many waters!
What kind of businesses do I work with?
Small businesses, startups, charities, not-for-profits, and sole traders - those who are run ragged to make everything work, and realise that they just can’t do everything themselves.
Medium-sized businesses and public services who have an idea of what they need but don’t know where to start.
